Marni at H&M: Stars gather to celebrate launch of collection
The launch of Marni at H&M was celebrated in style last night, with Drew Barrymore, Winona Ryder and Milla Jovovich among the guests at a star-studded party held in honour of the new collection.
Arriving just in time for the spring, the collection mixes bold prints and colour in a playful way (and we already know that prints are going to be HUGE for Spring/Summer 2012.)
Drew Barrymore told reporters of her love for both H&M and Marni, and she was overheard saying: “I love how H&M are bringing the regal, chic clothes of Marni to everyone.”
Other recognisable faces attended the launch party too, including actresses Jessica Chastain, Freida Pinto, Noomi Rapace and Dianna Agron.
The Marni at H&M collaboration has fashion fans excited, likely fuelled on by the recent success of H&M’s Versace collection, which quickly sold out both online and in store.
It seems like the designer label/high street collaboration is very popular at the minute, with Mary Katrantzou launching a collection for topshop yesterday (to coincide with London Fashion Week) and selling out within hours.
Over in the US Jason Wu recently launched a collaboration for Target, which also sold out very quickly. One couple even bought the entire store’s contents, likely with the sole intention of listing the goods on eBay.
When will the Marni at H&M collection arrive in stores?
The collection arrives at 260 stores worldwide on the 8th of March. So, perhaps it’d be wise to grab your sleeping bag and start queuing outside your local H&M store now?
